Summer Sky

WHY.
Why does everything look, at the very least, ten times worse when it's scanned?! ;u; huhuhuuuuuuu
Well.
This started off as a concept sketch I drew around midnight last ni--er, tonight, and I actually liked the concept sketch so I thought, "hey, why not color this? 'u'"
And I sketched the second draft onto watercolor paper but I COULDN'T GET THE GUY'S FACE RIGHT. For 45 minutes. ;_;
Then I colored it 'till... quite late
And once it dried I went D:
Because it turned out SOMUCHWORSEHNNGGGGG

I mean, the sky was supposed to be the focus. But the guy's colors are too flashy and he's too big. And the grass looks like it was drawn by a 5-year-old. D':
yeah.

I got the idea for this picture after the beautiful June equinox sky last night =u= BLEHHH. I've developed a fascination with the sky. It's just so vast. And colorful. It seems endless~ DD So I want to draw it well.
But as of now, that's still just a goal.
